Our Programs — Tree Planting, Agroforestry & Green Energy in Kenya

Comprehensive initiatives designed to restore ecosystems, empower communities, and build climate resilience across Kenya. We address both climate mitigation (through green energy and clean cooking) and climate adaptation (through tree planting, agroforestry and sustainable land management).

Social Enterprise

Promoting social enterprise activities: selling seedlings to generate revenue for TGAK and sustain youth livelihoods at nurseries, and producing jikos to provide income for women's groups.

Seedling production and sale to local and regional markets
Creating revenue streams to sustain nursery operations
Youth employment and vocational training in nurseries
Jiko (efficient cookstove) production and sales by women's groups
Entrepreneurship, market linkages and business skills training
Social Enterprise cover

Our Partners

We collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, private partners and community groups to amplify our impact.

International Partner

IUFRO — Forest Carbon “3S” Task Force

TGAK is proud to be a partner member of the IUFRO Forest Carbon “3S” Task Force — a multi‑stakeholder initiative that maximizes forests' climate role across Carbon Sink, Storage and Substitution.

Planned activities: webinars, workshops, peer‑reviewed publications, policy briefs and practical guidance (2025–2029). TGAK brings tree‑planting, nursery management, youth & community forestry expertise and sustainable biomass value‑chain experience to the Task Force.

Carbon Sink — natural absorption and sequestration monitoring
Carbon Storage — long‑term retention in durable forest products
Carbon Substitution — replacing fossil‑based products with sustainable bio‑alternatives
